Great Neck Plaza Celebrated Poetry Month on Sunday, April 14, 2024 with its annual
Poetry Contest Awards Reading by the winning poets. The reading was on Zoom
to enable more poets to attend.
The hosts were Great Neck Plaza Mayor Ted Rosen and
Carolyn Raphael, Poetry Coordinator of Great Neck Plaza.
The Judge was Gayl Teller, and here are the winners:
First Prize J R Turek “Other Lover”
Second Prize Vicki Iorio “How Long”
Third Prize Gladys Henderson “Fishing Highland Lake on a July Morning”
1st Honorable Mention Linda Calabrese “Franklin K Mars”
2nd Honorable Mention Barbara Segal “Uninvited Guests”
